About the Authors
Gail Steinberg is the adoptive mom of four grown daughters and sons; Shira Beth Gale is Korean and American Indian and arrived from Korea when she was three, Liza Anya Triggs is African American and joined the family when she was three weeks old, Jeremy Ben Steinberg is African American and white and joined the family when he was three and a half, and Seth Ari Steinberg is white and was adopted at ten months. Gail is also the grandmother of Leah Rachel Gale and Kai Rebecca Gale. She lives in San Anselmo, California, with her husband.

Beth Hall is the adoptive mom of two school-aged children: Sofia Hall Gallagher, who is Latina, and and James Hall Gallagher, who is African American. She grew up a member of an adoptive family--her sister, Barbara, adopted by (and Beth having been born to) their parents. She lives in Oakland, California, with her husband and children.

Together Beth and Gail are founders and co-directors of Pact, An Adoption Alliance. The authors of numerous articles, they lecture across the country and are committed to serving children first.
